My love for caramel continues.

Unfortunately, it doesn't always end up in sweet success. About a week and a half ago I saw this caramel popcorn post on Smitten Kitchen. I was totally drooling the second I saw it! I gave it a try last week and it was a complete failure. I'm not sure what went wrong... It would have been helpful if there was a temperature to heat up the caramel to but there wasn't and I ended up with these clumps of popcorn that tasted kind of stale and looked like I dropped them in butter and rolled them in brown sugar. It was a sweet mess.

Besides caramel popcorn, I love kettle corn and when I posted about the Smitten Kitchen recipe on my fan page, one of my Facebook fans shared one of her favorite kettle corn recipies with me. It looked so simple I thought there had to be something wrong with the recipe but it had over 8,000 positive reviews! I gave it a try yesterday and it turned out fantastic! My family gobbled it all up before I could take a photo! I think next time I might add a bit more sugar though.
