My Favorite Cookies

The winter always makes me want to bake cookies and cakes for some reason or another so I thought I'd share a recipe for one of my favorite cookies (chewy chocolate peanut butter cookies). I got the recipe from a Kraft Canada Magazine a while ago and it's so easy it's kind of hard to forget it. They smell so good and are SO easy to make you definitely have to give them a try. When they come out of the oven they are crunchy on the outside and soft and moist like a cupcake on the inside. Serve with a tall glass of milk!


Ingredients:
1 pack of devils food cake mix
1 egg
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 block of Philadelphia cream cheese, softened

Instructions:
1. Put all ingredients in a large bowl and mix with a mixer until well incorporated. You might have to knead the dough with your hands it's a lot quicker this way.
2. Roll the dough into 1" inch balls and put them on a baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Flatten the balls in a cross cross pattern with the prongs of a fork and sprinkle tops of cookie with sugar (optional)
3. Bake 7-8 mins at 375 degrees F. Cool 2 mins in pan and then move to a wire rack.

Store leftover cookies in an air tight container (haha as if you will have left overs)! Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
