Do you love crayons?

Because I do!

While I was looking through the new flickr pics I saw those jem crayons and it reminded me of when I was a kid... My kid sister and I had one of those blue lego tubs full of crayons. Broken, new, sharp and dull we had LOTS of them. When I was about 10 or 11 I would watch these craft shows on tv after school. One day I don't really recall why or how I came up with this idea it certainly wasn't from watching these shows or maybe it was? Anyways, I decided to take some crayons, break them up, put them in bottle caps and melt them in my toaster oven. Needless to say I made a big mess and my mom was pretty mad but I had fun and I made multi-colored chunks of crayon haha. Anyways, it's nice to see that remolding crayons is actually a craft. Here are some crayon related pics from the Flickr group.

I love the crayon soaps - so cute! My little guy would have a ball with those.

Thank you so much for blogging about my jewel crayons. The only time I melted crayons as a kids was by leaving them in the car. My parents were not to happy with me either.
